Since Pera’s 2006 debut, environmental and social responsibility, along with civic involvement have been on the menu. Our popular Pera-Direct program utilizes recycled materials for all take-out and delivery packaging and through pre-set dimmers, a/c controls, Energystar certified cooling and refrigeration equipment and staff training, we keep the restaurant’s power, gas and water consumption at the lowest possible level. While we continue to minimize Pera’s carbon footprint, we have expanded our association with various charities and their fundraising efforts, with a focus on those committed to children’s welfare, alleviating hunger and medical research. Concurrently, Pera plays an active role in organizations dedicated to New York City.
